In both architecture and design I am interested in functionalism vs time; problem solving in micro and macro scales in order to create something with astute arrangement that continues to improve, whilst lending to the needs of it’s users.
The M.Arch degree at Edinburgh University encouraged me to develop a rigorous and acute intelligence allowing quick comprehension and evaluation of a design approach. Working on a wide variety of scales, using hand-drawing and Computer Aided Design software has also honed my practical skills, enabling design ideas to be clearly rendered and articulated. My working experience has helped me gather an eclectic mix of skills, also out with architecture, that has benefited my confidence and ability to work on a wide spectrum of projects. I look to contribute and develop further with working practices, that in particular strive to improve existing conditions in the city, and create experiences with intelligent forethought.
