Lorna Gibson Architecture & Planning has grown from a passion for making and designing situations that improve and enhance our everyday built environments. The client is central to each project and, analysing their individual needs and desires, is provided with architectural scenarios that encourage well-being and interaction with the spaces around them.
Project work spans from product development and house renovations to cultural programming and urban investigations. This eclectic portfolio has enabled the development of comprehensive theoretical and technical skills within the Architectural field that crossover into landscape architecture and product design.
Brought up in Scotland, Lorna went on to graduate with a RIBA Part 1 and 2 in Architecture and Planning from the University of Edinburgh. In 2011 she began her professional career in the Netherlands. Collaborations and contributions include working with the Rijksbouwmeester in Amsterdam, Stadt Pforzheim, as Architectural Advisor to Streetlife and their uk projects, Partizan Publik, XML Architecture Research Urbanism, NAI Rotterdam Biennale, Mediamatic in Amsterdam, MARK magazine in Amsterdam and Wallpaper* magazine in London.
