On the 14th of February myself, Michèle Baudet and de Philharmonie team prepared the third installation of Dutch Design pieces in de Philharmonie, in Haarlem. The evening was combined with a presentation from Jasser van Oort on his work processes, a fantastic dance performance, using Atelier van Lieshout's glyder sofas and Paul Ketz Marshmallow stools, by HATO Projects, choreographed by Heidi Vierthaler and an interivew between artist Rene van den Bos and Michèle Baudet.
Designers participating for the coming six months include: the Intuitue fabriek, Hieke Aardema, Paul Ketz, Joost Dankelman, Chan Chiao Chun, Ward Wijnant, Francoise Oostwegel and Jasser van Oort. A new room dedicated to Haarlem Designers has been added to the Platforms reach in the Philharmonie. This year it is showcasing Marianne Weiland, Annemieke Terstal and Maarten Barnhoorn.
The Philharmonie is a 11000m2 concert hall building in Haarlem (the Netherlands), with 200 events per year and around 70,000 visitors, attending a range of events from local concerts to international conferences.
